Since 2014 the demand for plastics has substantially increased; more than 7.1% in 2014 compared to the previous year and thus exceeded 3.1 million tons. According to the PlasticsEurope, European Association of Plastics Producers this figure corresponds to 6.5% of Europe's plastics consumption and thus puts Poland in sixth place in Europe's ranking after Germany, Italy, France, Spain and the UK. Poland’s manufacturing showed the increase of 4.6% in 2014; not only did it stand against its class, but also largely exceeds European and also global average of 3.8% Long-term analyses shows Poland's industry's stable growth; this has been clearly evidenced with plastics and rubber production volumes. Over the last 15 years (2000-2014) production has increased three-fold.
